EXPANSION JOINTS

Visually, building expansion joints do not differ much from joints in the bathroom or kitchen. The joints are only slightly wider to compensate for deformations. Silkion or polyurethane is used as the material, depending on requirements. In terms of design, the joints can also be coloured and thus become part of the colour concept.

In general, a joint is an interruption in the covering. The joints are due to the construction physics and prevent cracks in the covering by compensating for tensions. With the BARiT system solution, we offer not just the top layer but also the screed and the corresponding joints. This way we can ensure that all necessary expansion joints are also found in the top layer. Furthermore, with clever planning, the joints can be cleverly integrated into the design of a room.
