The seamless BARiT shelves offer hygienic safety, are ergonomic, quiet, chemically resistant and waterproof. Recesses and appliance bases are modelled by hand without cavities as if from a single casting.
The BARiT upper composite seal has a general building inspectorate test certificate (abP). Tightness testing by an independent institute confirms that the systemic structure guarantees tightness when installed.
The BARiT kitchen floor system consists of solid stainless steel drainage products, such as box & slot channels and floor drains. Gratings are electrolytically polished especially for hygienic requirements and to optimise HACCP.
According to the current state of the art and required by the entry into force of DIN 18534 Part 1 and Part 3, the installation of a seamless floor covering on an upper composite seal with a general building authority test certificate (abP) with a system-compliant structure speaks in favour of the impermeability and hygiene of such a composite solution.

Commercial kitchens are subject to strict rules regarding hygiene, occupational safety, fire protection and noise levels. During the refurbishment of the hospital kitchen, a BARiT kitchen floor was installed in the various slip resistance classes R12 V4, R11, R10 and R9. Above all, the client took great care to ensure that the kitchen flooring was hygienic. In accordance with the food hygiene regulations of DIN 10 506, all covered surfaces, e.g. under the new dishwasher and the combi-steamers, were installed smoothly in R 9.
Since numerous architects rely on BARiT's upper composite waterproofing in accordance with DIN 18 534, parts 1 and 3, an upper composite waterproofing was installed on the non-shrink screed, a Thermorapid 3.0, when the floor construction was realised.
BARiT installed a complete floor construction with a composite screed, stainless steel drainage channels, equipment plinths, BARiT structural and composite waterproofing. The advantage of a system floor from BARiT is that all materials are coordinated and tested in accordance with the requirements of a modern large-scale catering facility.
